カペラ・アカデミカ（Cappella
Accademica)は、イタリア語で『教会所属の音楽院』ほどの意味
で、古典音楽研究会の合唱団と共にバッハのカンタータ、オラトリオ、受難曲などを可能な限り原曲を忠実に演奏することを目的として、浜松と豊橋在住の専門家、アマチュアにより結成された室内管弦楽団で、今は亡きバロック音楽の大家で現天皇陛下が師事された故濱田徳昭先生により命名され、1974年（昭和49年）9月2日に誕生。濱田先生のもとで主に宗教曲の演奏法などを学びその後合奏団独自の定期演奏会を年２回及とびその他の演奏会を２〜３回開催し、室内アンサンブルのインティメイトな世界を創り上げることを目標としています。
Cappella Accademica, meaning "Academy Chapel" in Italian, is
a chamber orchestra founded on September 2, 1974, by professionals and
amateurs from Hamamatsu and Toyohashi in Japan. Named by the late Baroque
master Noriteru Hamada, who taught the current Emperor of Japan, the ensemble
aims to faithfully perform Bach’s cantatas, oratorios, and passions with
a classical music research choir. Under Hamada’s guidance, members studied
techniques for sacred music performance. The orchestra holds two regular
concerts annually, along with additional performances, striving to create
an intimate world of chamber ensemble music while remaining true to the
original compositions.
